Light Drizzle Expected in Karachi, No Heavy Rain Forecast Until July 15

Karachi Weather Update: Light Drizzle Expected, No Heavy Rain Until Mid-July

Karachi: According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), Karachi is expected to receive intermittent light drizzle today, with no forecast for heavy rainfall over the coming days.

Weather analysts report that the cloudy skies hovering over the city are likely to persist for the next several days, bringing occasional light rain but no significant downpours.

Cloudy Conditions Likely to Continue

A senior weather analyst shared that the weather pattern over Karachi will remain mostly overcast, leading to light drizzles in various parts of the city throughout the day.

“The city’s atmosphere is humid and cloudy, and while citizens may see light showers off and on, no heavy rain is expected in the short term,” the analyst explained.

The drizzle may bring some relief from the intense summer heat, but it is not enough to cause urban flooding or waterlogging, which often plagues the city during the monsoon season.

No Heavy Rain Expected Until July 15

According to meteorological projections, Karachi is unlikely to experience heavy rainfall until July 15. While the skies will stay mostly cloudy, the chance of moderate to heavy monsoon activity remains low in the coming week.

The PMD has also stated that monsoon systems from the Bay of Bengal or Arabian Sea are not currently strong enough to impact southern Pakistan in a significant way.

This is in line with the typical weather behavior for early July, where Karachi often experiences scattered drizzle or light rain, but heavier monsoon currents generally arrive later in the month or in August.

Karachiites Advised to Stay Informed

The public is advised to stay updated through official weather channels for any sudden changes, especially considering Karachi’s vulnerability to urban flooding during intense rains.

While no weather-related warnings have been issued yet, city authorities are monitoring the conditions and will take preventive measures if the situation changes.
