President, Prime Minister Extend felicitations as Arshad Nadeem Wins Gold Medal in Olympics

ISLAMABAD Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday complimented pikestaff venture Arshad Nadeem as he secured a gold order for the country at the 2024 Paris Olympics, ending the nation’s 32- time stay for an Olympic order.

Arshad Nadeem won the gold order in the men’s pikestaff beating Neeraj Chopra of India to decide Pakistan’s first Olympic Athletic order in Paris Olympics 2024, besides breaking earlier Olympic record with a 92.97- metre record gamble.

“ You’re a pride of the whole nation, ” both the country’s chairman and high minister said in their independently issued statements.

“ Arshad Nadeem’s palm is the palm of the entire nationSetting a fabulous Olympic world record is a great achievement. You have made us proud by winning the gold order in a great competition of Olympics and bringing fame to the country, ” President Asif Ali Zardari said.

Both Asif Ali Zardari and Shehbaz Sharif also supplicated to Allah Almighty for further successes of Arshad Nadeem in his unborn trials.

“ Bravo Arshad! History made! Pakistan’s first Olympic men’s pikestaff champion Arshad Nadeem brings home a major gold order at Paris 2024! You have made the entire nation proud youthful man, ” the PM wrote on his X timeline.

In a statement, the PM saluted the whole country on this great achievement of Arshad Nadeem for not only winning the gold order but also setting the world record in Olympics. “ You have made a history in Pakistan as well as the Olympics by setting a new record. The whole nation feels proud of you, ” he said.

Shehbaz Sharif lauded Arshad Nadeem’s hard work and that of his family to win the title and bringing laurels to Pakistan after three decades. “ The entire nation curvatures before Allah Almighty for this great success. Arshad’s hard workfidelity and great achievement is a part model for the youthful players, ” the high minister said.
