Twist in Tasmiya Murder Case: Father Rejects Police Press Conference, Demands Full Justice

Kotli (August 4, 2025): In a shocking turn of events in the brutal murder of 6-year-old Tasmiya Sohail, her father has released a video statement from Saudi Arabia rejecting the local police’s recent press conference and expressing dissatisfaction with the investigation.

Father’s Demand for Unbiased Justice

In the video, Muhammad Sohail questioned the police narrative and urged that all facilitators and individuals involved—regardless of their status or relations—be brought to justice.

“Even if someone from my own family is involved, they must be held accountable,” he said.

Police Statement vs Public Reaction

Kotli SSP Adeel Ahmad Langrial earlier claimed that the accused, Mumtaz Shah, fled to Faisalabad after committing the crime and was apprehended through technical tracking. The suspect reportedly confessed to the crime, and Tasmiya’s belongings were recovered based on his statement.

However, locals and the victim’s family expressed distrust, suggesting that the full truth is being concealed and other suspects might be involved.

Public Protest in Khoi Ratta

Following the press conference, thousands of people took to the streets in Khoi Ratta demanding transparent investigation and the arrest of all involved. The widespread protest highlights growing public dissatisfaction with how the case is being handled.
